Description:
At 229 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Weirsdale, or near The Villages, moving southwest
at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph and minor flooding due to heavy
rainfall.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Weirsdale, Santos, The Village of Briar Meadow, Ocklawaha, Silver
Springs Shores, Lake Weir, Belleview, and Summerfield.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
