This local statement provides important information and recommended actions for people in Guam and the Northern Marianas. .WATCHES/WARNINGS... Please check the latest public and marine forecasts for detailed information about additional hazards. .STORM INFORMATION... At 7 AM ChST...the center of Super Typhoon Bavi (09W) was located near latitude 15.9N...longitude 141.1E. This was about 300 miles northwest of Guam. Storm motion was west-northwest, 290 degrees, at 16 mph. Storm intensity was 160 mph. .SITUATION OVERVIEW... Winds will continue to diminish over the Marianas through the day. Clean up will commence once COR 1 is lifted.
