...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Illinois... Wabash River from Lafayette to Riverton. Wildcat Creek near Lafayette. .Rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 4 inches across much of the area is bringing minor lowland flooding to most of the Wabash River basin. The Wabash should crest by Friday morning at Lafayette and Terre Haute on Saturday. Flooding may redevelop on the upper Wabash or be extended at downriver points by moderate to heavy rainfall that is expected Sunday into Monday which is not included in the current forecasts. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. * WHEN...From this afternoon to Thursday, June 25. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Leaverton Park in Palestine and park in Hutsonville begin to flood. Agricultural flooding spreads to higher land. Seep water is noticeable behind levees. Some elevated river cottages are surrounded by water. Several county or township roads east of Lincoln Heritage Trail between Palestine and Hutsonville in Crawford County Illinois are impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - There is no current observed data. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.1 feet early Monday afternoon.
