.Minor flooding continues along the Wabash River at New Harmony. The
river is forecast to near 16.3 feet Sunday afternoon and then fall
below flood stage Thursday, July 2nd.
For the Wabash River...including New Harmony...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at New Harmony.
* WHEN...Until Thursday, July 02.
* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, The river overflows low ground on the
Illinois side.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 15.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.3
feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then fall below flood
stage Thursday, July 02.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
16.3 feet on 04/23/1993.
