Wabash River at New Harmony.
.Recent heavy rainfall has lead to rising levels along the Wabash
River. Minor flooding continues at New Harmony, with a projected
crest of 16.8 feet forecast by Thursday morning, July 2nd.
For the Wabash River...including New Harmony...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at New Harmony.
* WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 5:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 16.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.8
feet Monday morning. It will then fall below flood stage by
Thursday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
