Water levels are now falling, and the river is forecast to fall below flood stage Thursday afternoon. For the Wabash River...including New Harmony...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at New Harmony. * WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, The river overflows low ground on the Illinois side. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 16.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 PM CDT Tuesday was 16.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late Thursday morning and continue falling to 5.2 feet Friday, July 10. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
