* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including portions of the following counties, Cook and Kane. * WHEN...Until 930 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 621 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms with rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Up to 1.5 inches of rain occurred from these storms earlier near Algonquin. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Elgin, Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Palatine, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Hoffman Estates, Buffalo Grove, Bartlett, Streamwood, Hanover Park, Carpentersville, Wheeling, Elk Grove Village, Algonquin, Huntley, Barrington, Rolling Meadows and Roselle. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
