At 156 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Stanford, or 15 miles southwest of Normal, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Bloomington, Normal, Minier, Danvers, Downs, Stanford, Carlock, Shirley, and Central Illinois Regional Airport. This includes the following highways... Interstate 39 between mile markers 0 and 4. Interstate 55 between mile markers 148 and 167. Interstate 74 between mile markers 120 and 144.
