At 557 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain with thunderstorms had exited the warned area. However, water may be slow to recede due to 1.5 to 3 inches of rain that occurred this afternoon. Flash flooding concerns across the county remain. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tamms, Olive Branch, Horseshoe Lake Conservation Area, Thebes and East Cape Girardeau.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
