At 600 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain with thunderstorms had largely exited the warned area. However, water may be slow to recede due to 1 to 2.5 inches of rain that occurred this afternoon. Flash flooding remains a concern across portions of Pulaski County. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mounds, Mound City, Karnak, Ullin, Olmsted, New Grand Chain and Pulaski.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
