The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Rock Island County in northwestern Illinois...
* Until 615 PM CDT.
* At 1220 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 4 inches in 1
hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches are possible
in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Moline, Rock Island, Milan, Coal Valley, Andalusia, Reynolds, Oak
Grove, Taylor Ridge, Illinois City, Fairport, Edgington, Loud
Thunder Scout Camp, Loud Thunder Forest Preserve, Coyne Center and
Blackhawk State Park.

Interstate 280 between mile markers 11 and 18. Interstate 74 in
Illinois between mile markers 1 and 6.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
