At 549 AM CDT, Doppler radar continued to show thunderstorms, though they are becoming more confined to areas near the Jasper County border. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen since midnight. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Effingham, Teutopolis, Dieterich, Heartville and Effingham County Airport. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 between mile markers 93 and 101. Interstate 57 between mile markers 159 and 167.
