Flood Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...
La Moine River at Colmar affecting Hancock and McDonough Counties.
.Heavy rainfall on the La Moine River basin may produce flooding on
portions of the river.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...La Moine River at Colmar.
* WHEN...From Monday morning to early Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 22.5 feet, Water affects lower roads around
Birmingham.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 13.2 feet and rising
quickly.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow morning to a crest of 22.4 feet early Tuesday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
