River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Illinois River at La Grange LD.
* WHEN...Until Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Extensive wetland acreage south of La
Grange begins flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 25.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 26.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 25.8 feet
this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
