For the Illinois River (Upper)...including La Salle...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and forecasted to continue. * WHERE...Illinois River from Starved Rock Lock and Dam downstream to confluence with Big Bureau Creek, including the La Salle gauge. * WHEN...From this afternoon to Tuesday afternoon. The Flood Warning may be extended later in time with a future warning issuance. * IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Lower parking lot at Starved Rock State Park is inundated east of La Salle. High water levels begin to impact shipping interests along the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:45 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 20.1 feet. The water level is rising quickly. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest near 23 feet early Monday morning.
