Illinois...
Illinois River at Peoria affecting Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford
Counties.
Illinois River at Beardstown affecting Schuyler, Brown, Morgan
and Cass Counties.
Illinois River at Havana affecting Mason, Cass and Fulton
Counties.
.The Illinois River will level off for a time later this week, but
the overall trend is for falling levels by the weekend.
The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil
moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Illinois River at Peoria.
* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Some flooding begins to bottomland not
protected by levees.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 19.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 AM CDT Wednesday was 19.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Saturday evening and continue falling to 16.1 feet
Wednesday, July 15.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
