* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Randolph County in southwestern Illinois... * WHEN...Until 615 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 318 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chester, Sparta, Red Bud, Bremen, Steeleville, Percy, Coulterville, Tilden, Evansville, Baldwin, Eden, Preston, Blair, Prairie Du Rocher, Prairie, Ellis Grove, Ruma and Houston. - This includes the following State Parks... Piney Creek Ravine State Natural Area, Randolph County State Recreation Area, World Shooting and Recreational Complex, Turkey Bluffs State Fish and Wildlife Area and Kaskaskia River State Fish and Wildlife Area.
