Description:
At 459 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Clayton, or 16
miles northeast of Quincy Regional Airport, moving east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Golden, La Prairie, Clayton, Mound Station and Mount Sterling.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT Wednesday for a
portion of west central Illinois.
