At 736 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Emerson, or
near Sterling, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Sterling, Rock Falls, Morrison, Lyndon, Coleta, Emerson, Union Grove,
Round Grove, Galt, Penrose, Hamilton Corners, Malvern, Como, White
Pigeon, Morrison-Rockwood State Park, Whiteside County Fairgrounds,
Denrock, Grimes Addition, Douglas Park, and Unionville.
This also includes Morrison-Rockwood State Park.
This includes Interstate 88 between mile markers 25 and 39.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
