Description:
At 429 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Countryside to Merrionette Park to Markham to Olympia
Fields to Monee, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Chicago, Hammond, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Calumet City,
Chicago Heights, Chicago Lawn, Englewood, South Shore, Roseland,
Burbank, Lansing, Oak Forest, Harvey, Blue Island, Munster, Dolton,
Park Forest, Homewood, Alsip, Matteson, Mokena, Frankfort, and Palos
Hills.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
