Description:
At 410 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Lakewood
Shores, or near Wilmington, moving southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts. The strongest
winds will move across central and western Kankakee County.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Kankakee, Bourbonnais, Bradley, Manteno, Braidwood, Wilmington,
Peotone, Herscher, Diamond, Limestone, Lakewood Shores, St. Anne,
Chebanse, Aroma Park, Essex, Godley, Sun River Terrace, Bonfield,
Buckingham, Sammons Point, Reddick, Wilton Center, Irwin, and Union
Hill.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

building.
