Description:
At 915 PM EDT, a cluster of strong thunderstorms were located 7 miles
southeast of Carrollton, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and very heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning
is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Carrollton, Vevay, Warsaw, Owenton, Florence, Patriot, Kentucky
Speedway, Pleasant, Glencoe, Fairview, Ghent, Sanders, Sparta,
Worthville, Prestonville, Monterey, Gratz, Braytown, Center Square,
and Elk Lake.
This includes I-71 in Kentucky between mile markers 39 and 63.
Instruction:
Motorists should slow down and use extra caution.
Residents in these areas should remain alert. If these storms becomes
stronger, then a warning may be needed.
