At 356 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 miles west of Owenton to near New Castle to near Prospect, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Louisville, Jeffersonville, New Albany, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Shively, Lyndon, La Grange, Middletown, and Douglass Hills.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 AM EDT for south central Indiana...and central Kentucky. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
