Crawford County in south central Indiana...
Northern Perry County in south central Indiana...
* Until 1145 AM EDT /1045 AM CDT/.
* At 941 AM EDT /841 AM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 8.5
inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
English, Carefree Town, Mount Pleasant, Marengo, Milltown,
Leopold, Leavenworth, Alton, West Fork and Sulphur.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely and have them relay your report to the National
Weather Service in Louisville.
