Description:
At 904 AM CDT, Significant and widespread flash flooding is ongoing
in the greater Evansville area. Numerous roadways are closed with
multiple reports of vehicles caught in flood waters. Many roadways
are impassible, the heaviest rain has paused for now but more may
develop. This remains a particularly dangerous situation. Between 3
and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2
to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
