...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers and locations in Indiana... Illinois... White River at Elliston and Edwardsport. Wabash River at Mount Carmel. .Repeat thunderstorms over the southern half of Indiana have brought heavy rainfall, with peak radar indicated amounts of between 1.50 and 2.00 inches southwest of Indianapolis, from Greene County eastward to Brown County, and Knox County eastward to Martin County. This rainfall is expected to quickly increase river levels to above flood stage over the next 12 to 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...White River at Edwardsport. * WHEN...From Monday afternoon to early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.6 feet, INDOT may close SR 358 between SR 67 at Edwardsport to SR 57 at Plainville due to flooding. SR 358 floods on the east side of the river between the levees. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM EDT Sunday /6:00 PM CDT Sunday/ the stage was 13.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 18.5 feet early Tuesday morning.
