...The Flood Warning continues for the following river and locations in Indiana...Illinois... Wabash River at Montezuma, Terre Haute, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, Riverton, Vincennes, and Mount Carmel. .Repeat thunderstorms over the southern half of Indiana have brought heavy rainfall, with peak radar indicated amounts of between 1.50 and 2.00 inches southwest of Indianapolis, from Greene County eastward to Brown County, and Knox County eastward to Martin County. Rainfall elsewhere in the southwest quadrant of Indiana typically have been close to one inch. This rainfall will bring points on mid and lower sections of the Wabash River into flood early this week. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma. * WHEN...Until early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Montezuma agricultural levee is overtopped. Fourteen hundred acres of low bottomlands flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 15.3 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 PM EDT Sunday was 18.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.7 feet Tuesday evening.
