White River at Elliston and Edwardsport.
.Repeat thunderstorms over the southern half of Indiana today have
brought heavy rainfall, with peak radar indicated amounts of between
1.50 and 2.00 inches southwest of Indianapolis, from Greene County
eastward to Brown County, and Knox County eastward to Martin
County. Rainfall elsewhere in the southwest quadrant of Indiana
typically have been close to one inch. This rainfall will bring
points on the lower White River into flood within the next 12 to 24
hours.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...White River at Hazleton.
* WHEN...From Monday afternoon to Sunday, June 28.
* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Flood waters cover the Hazleton softball
field. Pottsville Road is underwater and impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- There is no current observed data.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon to 19.5 feet Tuesday morning. It will then
fall early Wednesday morning. It will rise to 19.5 feet
Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
Saturday evening.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
