White River at Hazleton.
.Recent periods of heavy rainfall have led to flooding along
portions of the White River at Edwardsport, Elliston, Petersburg,
and Hazleton. Points are expected to crest midweek and begin to fall
below flood stage by Friday morning.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...White River at Edwardsport.
* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Flooding of low agricultural fields
begin. Daviess CR 375 WN and North River Rd in Knox County
located inside the levees are flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 AM EDT Tuesday /6:00 AM CDT Tuesday/ the stage was
15.4 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:00 AM EDT Tuesday /6:00 AM CDT Tuesday/ was 15.4
feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.5
feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just
after midnight tonight.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
