...Observed flooding changed to Minor severity and increased in
duration for the following rivers in Indiana...
Blue River at Fredericksburg affecting Washington and Harrison
Counties.
.Heavy rain from the past the last two days has caused the river to
rise.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Blue River at Fredericksburg.
* WHEN...Until just after midnight tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Water covers parts of
Fredericksburg-Depauw Road near river.
At 22.0 feet, Backroads in town flood. Water approaches US 150.
At 23.0 feet, US 150 is closed.
At 24.0 feet, Water surrounds some homes along backroads.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:30 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 22.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 2:30 PM EDT Saturday was 22.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
this evening and continue falling to 4.9 feet Thursday
morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
22.2 feet on 04/06/2025.

Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
