Patoka River near Princeton.
.Recent torrential rainfall received across the basin will raise the
Patoka River near Princeton into moderate flood for the middle of
this week, with flooding continuing through the holiday weekend.
For the Patoka River...including Princeton...Moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Patoka River near Princeton.
* WHEN...Until Tuesday, July 07.
* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Flooding affects mainly farmland. Seasonal
camping trailers closest to the river become inundated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 19.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.5
feet early Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage Tuesday, July 07.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
21.6 feet on 11/21/1993.
