...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...
Patoka River near Princeton.
.Major flooding continues on the Pakota River near Princeton. The
river has crested and is starting to fall, but it will not fall
below major flood stage until Monday afternoon. It will eventually
fall below flood stage next Sunday, June 12.
* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Patoka River near Princeton.
* WHEN...Until Sunday, July 12.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 23.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday, July 12 and continue falling to 15.7 feet Wednesday,
July 15.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
