For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 105 expected. * WHERE...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 110 expected in southwest Iowa Monday and 105 Tuesday. Overnight minimum heat index values remain in the upper-70s. * WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 9 PM CDT this evening. For the Heat Advisory, from 9 PM this evening to 9 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Overnight heat indices in the mid-70s will make it difficult for homes without air conditioning to cool down. Hot weather is expected to persist through the week.
