with heat index values up to 110 expected. For the Extreme Heat
Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 105 to
110 possible.
* WHERE...Grundy, Poweshiek, Tama, Butler, Black Hawk, Bremer,
Mahaska, Davis, and Wapello Counties.
* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, from noon to 9 PM CDT Sunday.
For the Extreme Heat Watch, from Sunday evening through Monday
evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Instruction:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
