Description: 
At 332 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 6.5 inches of rain have fallen. Significant street flooding in Ames is starting to subside as rain rates are lessening. However, additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Ames, Nevada, State Center, Gilbert, Iowa State Center, Colo, Melbourne, Rhodes, Clemons, St. Anthony and Ames Municipal Airport. Expect significant flash flooding and rises in the Ioway Creek and South Skunk River basins within this warning!
