Cedar River at Charles City affecting Floyd County. .Heavy rain falling in the upper reaches of the Cedar River Basin in southern Minnesota combined with forecast rainfall over the next 24 to 48 hours will lead to flooding on the Cedar River in Charles City. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Cedar River at Charles City. * WHEN...From late tonight to Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 17.5 feet, Riverside Drive at St. Marys Street begins to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 3.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 17.5 feet tomorrow evening.
