* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central Iowa, including the following county, Polk. * WHEN...Until 515 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. Areas along Fourmile Creek are of most concern. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 248 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. As much as 8 to 12 inches of rain has fallen since Thursday afternoon. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Des Moines, Ankeny, Altoona, Pleasant Hill, Bondurant, Saylorville, Adventureland Amusement Park, Prairie Meadows, Iowa State Fairgrounds, Elkhart, Alleman, Ankeny Regional Airport, Weh-Weh-Neh-Kee State Park and Margo Frankel Woods State Park.
