...The National Weather Service in Des Moines IA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa... South Skunk River near Ames US 30 affecting Polk and Story Counties. Ioway Creek at Ames Lincoln Way affecting Story County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...The South Skunk River near Ames US 30, or from Ioway Creek to the Polk-Jasper County line. * WHEN...From early this morning to early tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Water affects the Shady Grove Trailer Park located at 1006 S Dayton Ave as well as the railroad just northeast of Cambridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 22.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest between 22.5 and 23 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 21.5 feet.
