South Skunk River at Colfax affecting Polk, Jasper and Marion Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...The South Skunk River at Colfax, or from the Jasper-Polk County Line to the Jasper-Marion County line. * WHEN...Until Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 20.9 feet, Water affects the levee near the Iowa 117 bridge as well as the first two downtown blocks of Colfax adjacent to the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 17.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 20.9 feet Monday evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
