South Skunk River near Ames US 30 affecting Story and Polk Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...The South Skunk River near Ames US 30, or from Ioway Creek to the Polk-Jasper County line. * WHEN...Until tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Water affects the Shady Grove Trailer Park located at 1006 S Dayton Ave as well as the railroad just northeast of Cambridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 22.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight and continue falling to 12.3 feet Saturday, July 11. - Flood stage is 21.5 feet.
