* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Iowa River at Marengo.
* WHEN...From late Tuesday night to Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Extensive inundation of agricultural land.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 13.9 feet and slowly
rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Wednesday morning to a crest of 16.8 feet early Friday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday
morning.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
