Description:
At 509 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Hartwick, or 15
miles southeast of Toledo, moving southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Toledo, Montezuma, Tama, Brooklyn, Dysart, Meskwaki Casino, Victor,
Garwin, Holiday Lake, Malcom, Chelsea, Montour, Clutier, Elberon,
Hartwick, Guernsey, Vining, Otter Creek Lake and Park, and Toledo
Municipal Airport.
This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 191 and 204.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for central Iowa.
A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can
develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not
immediately likely, if one is spotted act quickly and move to a place
of safety inside a sturdy structure, such as a basement or small
interior room.
