Northeastern Sherman County in northwestern Kansas... * Until 500 PM MDT/600 PM CDT/. * At 412 PM MDT/512 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 14 miles north of Brewster, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Thomas, southwestern Rawlins and northeastern Sherman Counties. This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 39 and 48.
