Description: 
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of west central Kansas, including the following counties, Gove, Logan, Wallace and Wichita. * WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT /900 AM MDT/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 611 AM CDT /511 AM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. The additional rainfall may necessitate a Flash Flood warning later this morning. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wallace and Russell Springs.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
