* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Northeastern Johnson County in east central Kansas...
Northeastern Wyandotte County in northeastern Kansas...
Southwestern Clay County in west central Missouri...
Northwestern Jackson County in west central Missouri...
Southeastern Platte County in west central Missouri...
* WHEN...Until 515 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent. The most likely area to be impacted is the urban core of
Kansas City, Missouri.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 255 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen during the past
hour.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Kansas City, Independence, Liberty, Gladstone, Prairie Village,
Mission, North Kansas City, Fairway, Mission Hills, Sugar Creek,
Riverside, Westwood, Claycomo, Kansas City Kansas and Pleasant
