Description:
At 1225 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Rich Hill to 10 miles northwest of Nevada to 6
miles south of Fort Scott, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Public. Quarter-sized hail was reported with these storms
near Fort Scott.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Nevada, Fort Scott, Marmaton, Sheldon, Bronson, Montevallo,
Uniontown, Walker, Schell City, Bronaugh, Fulton, Redfield,
Moundville, Richards, Milo, Mapleton, Deerfield, Metz, Harwood, and
Stotesbury.
