Description:
At 250 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles south of Russell Springs, or 13 miles northwest of Scott State
Lake, moving east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Logan
County.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for
west central Kansas.
