For the Sappa Creek...including Norcatur 15ne, Oberlin 1sw...
Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Sappa Creek at Oberlin 1sw.
* WHEN...Until early Wednesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Water spreads over agricultural fields and
low lying areas with actual water depth in creek at about 6 feet.
At 15.0 feet, Moderate flooding will occur in nearby agricultural
fields and low lying areas.
At 17.5 feet, The access road to the southeast of the bridge and
gage site will become inundated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 16.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:30 AM CDT Monday was 16.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 7.7 feet
Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.1 feet on 07/03/1982.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
