Arkansas River at Arkansas City affecting Cowley County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Arkansas River at Arkansas City. * WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, The Water Plant takes precautions on water well pump houses west of the Arkansas River. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 14.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.6 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
Instruction: 
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades.
