...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Verdigris River at Altoona affecting Wilson County. Verdigris River at Coffeyville affecting Montgomery County. Verdigris River at Independence affecting Montgomery and Wilson Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Verdigris River at Coffeyville. * WHEN...From Friday afternoon to late Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Flooding of low-lying areas is expected, especially along the left bank near the Water Plant. Further upstream and downstream from the gage site the river spreads out into the flood plain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 7.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 19.2 feet Saturday evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
